This is an extra long and sturdy cocobolo utensil that is both spatula and/or spoon. The front angle allows for scraping or scooping as a spatula while the size of the bowl area is large and deep enough to function as a large spoon.

The bowl measures approximately 3-1/8 inches wide and should easily be capable of lifting a pressed sandwich or something of similar size.

The total length is around 16-1/2 inches and balances well in the hand. The handle portion is tapered from thinner at the bowl to wider toward the end.

Not the largest spoon I’ve made, but definitely the largest spatula. Its size, while well balanced, would be best for someone in reasonable health — as silly as it may seem, it may be a bit much for some, especially if used vigorously. Personally, my ideal utensil could, if necessary, be used for self defense, even if only for a single strike. Considering the temperament of some chefs, this may not be too improbable. My Italian uncle comes to mind.
